I didn't sign up for the 2010 Debut Author Challenge, and I've regretted it ever since. So this year I'm proud to be a participant in the 2011 Debut Author Challenge hosted by The Story Siren. I know that I'm dying to read Wither by Lauren Destefano and XVI by Julia Karr, but other than that I'm not sure exactly which debuts I'm reading this year... I like everything about it...well except Clary. I mean, come on, they couldn't find a younger model? She looks like she's in her late 20s/30s. (I actually still need to read City of Glass...)
hmm, she kinda looks outta place compared to the other novels. The first one is still on my TBR pile! Ill get to it eventually!
ReplyDeleteI am not sure I want to do the challenge, I don't like the idea of feeling like i have to read something to read the amount rather than doing it for the enjoyment. I am at an odds with my thoughts on it..
The readers rights in your side bar, did you find that somewhere or write it yourself??
I don't understand why YA cover artists are going with much older models for their work - this isn't the only book to do so. But it's also not the worst that I've seen.
