Top Ten Tuesday--Books Everyone Has Read But Me

I decided to participate in Top Ten Tuesday hosted by The Broke and the Bookish every so often, and today's topic was too good to pass up. Every Tuesday the people over at The Broke and the Bookish post their top ten lists on various topics. They even have a special Top Ten Tuesday page where they have previous topics and upcoming topics discussed as well.

This week's topic is:

Top Ten Books I Feel As Though Everyone Has Read But Me

Yeeep...I've got a lot of these.

Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead

I own the first 3, but I haven't even started them. Now that the series is finished I really don't have much an excuse though, do I?

Pride and Prejudice

And--sorry Austen fanatics--it's not exactly at the top of my TBR list.

Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

Another one that I own but haven't read. As I'm sure you can begin to tell, there's a lot of those.

The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak

I have this one from the library! I just...am lame.

The Last 4 Harry Potter Books by JK Rowling

I've read the first three recently and loved them, but haven't cleared my schedule to read the rest. Definitely need to do that!

Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan

Again, it's finished, and I own the first, so I have no excuse but the very true "HAVE YOU SEEN THAT REVIEW PILE!"

Graceling by Kristen Cashore

Yep, you guessed right: I own it but haven't picked it up yet.

City of Glass and Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare

I loved the first two books in the Mortal Instruments series, but...do I have to say it again? And Clockwork Angel sits on my bedroom dresser and stares at my face every morning...

All of Jennifer Echols books.

I've heard fantastic things about this author, especially good things about Going Too Far and Forget You.

Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson...or anything else by Anderson.

A book and author that everyone's read and adores and I...need to take a review-book break.

The sad thing is that I could go on and on.

  3. Our lists are pretty similar. And I'm with you about Jane Austen not being at the top (or middle) of my TBR pile. She's just going to have to wait. LOL

I finally, only just recently, read my first Jennifer Echols book. It was a good read. I too want to read Going Too Far (b/c I've heard great things about it).

Hope you get to read all these books on your list sometime soon :)

  4. Vampire Academy and Beautiful Creatures are on my list as well. :) You really need to finish the Harry Potter series! I love, love, love them, just like I love the Percy Jackson series! You should definitely get cracking on those books soon. Great list!

  5. Oh a lot of the books on your list are ones that I also have on mine. I've heard great thing about the VA books so I think I'm going to bump them up on my list.
Graceling and the Percy Jackson books were AMAZING and I hope that if/when you get around to reading them you enjoy them as well!
    Happy reading!
