"It happens every year. A list is posted, and one girl from each grade is chosen as the prettiest, and another is chosen as the ugliest."
"Then Taylor's dad gets devastating news that changes everything. Her parents decide that the family will spend the summer together at their old vacation home in the Pocono Mountains."
"Behind the wheel of her car, with Grayson asleep beside her, Kendra decides to drive away from it all -- with enough distance, maybe she'll be able to figure everything out."
"Only when Rosie tells her mother's best friend, "Aunt Sarah," that she is going to test for the disease does Sarah, a midwife, reveal that Trudie wasn't her real mother after all. Rosie was swapped at birth with a sickly baby who was destined to die."
(I'm not even sorry that they're all contemporaries.)
The List is on my wishlist!
