Read-a-thon Update #1

My first day of the Once Upon a Read-a-thon was amazing!

I've read:
The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight (started this before the read-a-thon, but finished during)
The Alchemy of Forever
Between Here and Forever

I'm now reading:
Enclave (the audiobook)
Glimpse

Only 3 books left after Glimpse! I decided to go out on a limb and read review books this time around. So far it's worked in my favor. I'm also reading my little brother Sideways Stories from Wayside School and I'm hoping to finish that by Wednesday.

Anyways, time to get back to reading! Are you participating in the read-a-thon? How're you doing so far?

Read-A-Thon Update #2

So, I probably should've posted an update yesterday, but I didn't, so....

So far, I've read:
Nomansland
Gone
Winter's Passage
198 pages of Linger

I WILL be finishing Linger tonight, no matter how late I have to stay up.

Read-A-Thon Update and Mini Challenge

So, far, I've finished Nomansland. This is pretty good since I started the Read-A-Thon at about noon, and I've had lots of distractions. Now, I'm about to start Gone by Lisa McMann, and since I stay up into all hours of the night, I should be able to at least get halfway through it.

Now, time for my first mini challenge! Since I'm a die-hard music fan as well as a book nerd, I chose Book Crazy's challenge of matching a book to a song! Now, although New Moon isn't my favorite book, I just had to choose it since I've always felt that this song fits with the book reeeeeeeally well.

Book:
New Moon

Song:
I Don't Care by Apocalyptica

I was even reading New Moon when I first heard the song, and was blown away at how well it fit!

Off to read some more...

Once Upon A Read-A-Thon!

The lovely ladies at Pure Imagination, Candace's Book Blog, and Reading Angel have come together to host the Once Upon A Read-A-Thon, which starts today! I'll be busy reading all day, and will be posting an update later showing what I've read and what I plan to read after that.

Happy Read-A-Thon!

Oh, and my 500 Follower contest ends tonight! Go enter if you haven't already!

Readathon Update #2

My tail bone is SO sore. I guess I'm going to have to find a different position....

Read: Strange Angels, Fruits Basket Vol. 1 (Yes, I'm kind of a slow reader.)
Pages read: 497 (I think...)!
Reading now: About to start Angel Star

My mom and I love readathon so much that I think we're making it a readathon weekend. Huzzah!

Keep on reading everyone!!

The Readathon

Last October, I was dying to do the Dewey's 24 Hour Readathon, but of course it just happened to be on the weekend that I was babysitting my siblings for my parents. Go figure. But, this year, I can participate! There's a small possibility that we'll be going camping this weekend, but my family had assured me that I'll still be able to get plenty of reading done (even if filling a backpack full of books to drag into my tent isn't high on my list of things to do before I die). If we don't go camping, then my whole family will be participating too.

As for updating, I think I'll just be doing one giant update before I go to bed. (Yes, I'll most likely be going to sleep.)

What will I be reading for the readathon? Here's my pile:

Yes, I know that there will be no way that I'll finish all of those books, I just want to have a good amount of variety.

Oh, and if you're looking for tips and trick like I am, then go check out this great post.

Have a great readathon!
